Study.Net FAQ

Study.Net FAQ

What is Study.Net?

Study.Net is an online service for accessing your course material electronically. You can access courses
anytime, anywhere. No more lines at Wharton Reprographics!

  • Access to your course material is fast and easy
  • No more bulky course pack to carry around, print your course articles as needed
  • Print your course material from your personal printer
  • Print your course material to any lab printer using your PennPrint account

What is the difference between Study.Net and WebCafe?

Many of your course readings are copyrighted. Due to copyright laws, these materials cannot be posted on WebCafe. Material available on Web Cafe will not be available for hard copy from Wharton Reprographics.

I've never used Study.Net before. How do I register?

If you are a Wharton student, you are already registered for Study.Net! Simply follow the link to Study.Net on the right side of your SPIKE homepage. When you login for the first time, you will be prompted to change your Study.Net password. This password, along with your Wharton email, will only be required when you login to Study.Net independently (not through SPIKE or WebCafe).

How do I add my courses?

  • After you change your Study.Net password, proceed to "MY COURSES." On this page, click the orange link to "PURCHASE OR ACCESS MATERIALS IN A NEW COURSE."

  • Select your course listing and click on "Add to Cart." Review the License Agreement and continue shopping until you've added everything you need to your Cart; then open your Cart and complete your purchase. All major credit cards are accepted.

  • PLEASE NOTE that on the Cart page you have the OPTION to order a Wharton Reprographics Hard Copy for each course. Selecting this option will result in an additional charge. The Hard Copy is a printed version of everything you'll find online (that can be printed). Please keep in mind, all Hard Copy course material is non-refundable.

How do I know when an online course is ready on Study.Net?

If you are enrolled in a course that is available on Study.Net you will receive an email from Study.Net with instructions on how to access your course material.

What happens if I drop a course?

Because Study.net handles all payments, you must send an email to customerservice@study.net to receive a refund for a dropped course. Refunds are given for online access charges only; all sales are final on Hard Copy material.

Why can't I just come to Wharton Reprographics to get a Hard Copy of my course material?

  • All Hard Copy orders MUST be placed on Study.Net. PLEASE NOTE that Hard Copy orders take 2 BUSINESS DAYS to fill. You will receive an email from Wharton Reprographics when your Hard Copy is ready for pickup. ALL HARD COPY SALES ARE FINAL.

  • MBA Students: We realize how important your Core Courses are to your degree. If your Core Course material is on Study.Net, once you purchased your Hard Copy order, you will be able to pick up your Hard Copy material during Reprographics standard business hours of operation. You will receive an email confirmation from Wharton Reprographics once your order is ready for pick up.

I've added my courses, but I went to Wharton Reprographics and there’s no Hard Copy there
for me. What's going on?

  • Are you sure you ordered a Hard Copy? Many courses cost money to access on Study.Net because they contain copyrighted material. This charge is separate from any printing cost and is for unlimited online access only.

  • Study.Net automatically sends you an email receipt EACH time you make a purchase on the site. Please review any and all receipts you've received from Study.Net to determine what you've ordered. If you still have questions or you do not understand your receipt, ask a friendly staff member at Wharton Reprographics or send an email to customerservice@study.net

What if I want to print on my own?

When you print from a campus computer, make sure you select the "StudyNet" print queue in the print dialog box. All print jobs in this queue are sent to high-capacity Xerox printers located in the Huntsman Hall computer labs (Room F75, 375, and 380) as well as outside Wharton Reprographics.

How much does printing cost?

Printing costs on the high-capacity Xerox printers are 7 cents per single-sided sheet and 10 cents per double-sided sheet. Duplex printing is set on all printers.

My account was charged for a job that never printed. How do I get my money back?

Your printing credits are managed by Wharton Computing. Please contact support@wharton.upenn.edu. You will receive a prompt response to advise you further.
